We invite scientists, photographers, and amateur microscopists interested in the Beautiful Biology initiative to submit materials to be considered for inclusion on this site.
As a content contributor, you will help us accomplish our mission by giving the public access to your visuals the likes of which the public rarely gets to see. We prefer content that has not been published, but we can accept previously published images or videos as long as you provide us with the publisher’s name and contact information so we can obtain permission for their use on our site.
If your content is chosen to be hosted on Beautiful Biology, visuals will be licensed under a CC BY-NC 4.0 license, allowing the public to download a limited-resolution version of the content and to use it for educational or entertainment purposes without generating a profit and with attribution. You, as the content creator, will maintain full rights and ownership of the content – we are simply asking for permission to use the content in the context of Beautiful Biology and to license it under a CC BY-NC 4.0 license.
Note that you can submit multiple images and videos at a time. If you do, please make sure to provide information about all the visuals you submit in the “What are we looking at?,” “What equipment was used to create this content?,” and “Has this been published?” fields below.
And be sure to click “Upload media” for each piece of content that you add. Once each piece of content is uploaded and the required fields have been filled in, click “Save” to complete your submission and move on to the user agreement page.
